Application and Implementation Procedure

• Application forms can be obtained at any time from the nearest office of the Cape Winelands District Municipality.
• Applications are invited through advertisements in local papers with a due date.
• All applicants are provided with the necessary application forms.
• All applications are followed up with an on site inspection by an Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP).
• The EHP writes a motivation after the site inspection.
• An item is compiled that includes a priority list that is presented to the Executive Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Municipal Manager for scrutiny and approval.
• All successful applicants are given a period of 6 months for completion.
• Pending circumstances, exemptions for completion may be granted within that specific financial year.
• After completion of an approved project an EHP does a final inspection.
• Notification for payment is submitted to treasury for processing.
• A health and hygiene presentation is given to all beneficiaries of approved projects.
