Project Description

This project entails the provision of small-scale water purification systems on selected farms in order to provide safe drinking water to inhabitants living in rural areas.

Objective

The main objective of this project is to provide safe drinking water that does not pose a health threat to people living on farms and the rural areas of the Cape Winelands District municipality and to promote the health of the people using the water.

Location

Farms situated within the jurisdiction of the Cape Winelands District Municipality.

Funding

Cape Winelands District Municipality is the principle financier of this project.

Linkages

This project links with the principles of the IDP and the vision of council. It also addresses a series need of the most vulnerable people in our communities namely the farm workers.
