By: cwadmin | Delegates representing different civil society organisations poured their hearts out about service delivery at the Cape Winelands District Municipality (CWDM) Integrated Development Plan (IDP) hearing, which was held across the Cape Winelands area during the month of October 2011.
At the meeting, much praise was given to the Municipality for the remarkable difference that it has made in the fields of rural development and poverty alleviation. By: cwadmin | On Friday, 14 October, 2011, young people from Paarl officially graduated as caterers after completing a four-week Culinary Training course. The graduation ceremony was held at Thusong Centre in Mbekweni.
The training was brought about by the Cape Winelands District Municipality's tourism department who recognised the need to equip young people with the necessary skills and training that will enable them to compete in the job market, particularly in the tourism industry.Janobia Abrahams, one of the attendees, said she is grateful for this opportunity and she hopes that the qualification will help her to find work or enable her to start ... | | | | Nov
