Embassy of Israel Donation

The Embassy of Israel’s Deputy Ambassador, Hila Rose Fridman visited the Breede Valley APD in Worcester today to handover a donation of 56 First Aid Kits.  The kits will be distributed to Community Care Workers who help support physically disabled citizens in the Cape Winelands.  The Deputy Ambassador stated, “when the CWDM suggested we donate to APD, it was as if all the pieces of this project suddenly fit together!  In Israel we have projects that specifically focus on ‘innovations that improve the lives of the physically disabled.”

The project was initiated by Chaya Singer, the Executive Director of the South African Zionist Federation and facilitated by Dr Ivan Meyer, Western Cape Minister of Agriculture, the Executive Mayor of the Cape Winelands District Municipality, Ald (Dr) Elna von Schlicht and the Cape Winelands District Municipality’s Municipal Manager, Henry Prins and Pietie Williams, Executive Director: Community Development and Planning Services.
