Mechanical Workshop Overview

This Department seeks to ensure that the council mechanical fleet is maintained and kept in a roadworthy and safe, working condition to ensure the safety of council personnel and all road uses.

Our functions entail the following:

Maintenance and repairs of council pool vehicles. Example: Sedans and light delivery vehicles
Maintenance, repairs and modification of the fire department fleet. Example: Heavy fire fighting vehicles, Light fire fighting vehicles and personnel transport vehicles,
Maintenance, repairs and modification to the Road Agency Department of Transport and Public works construction plant. Example: Graders, Loades, Digger loaders, Bulldozer, Trucks, Light delivery vehicles, Mini busses and Small plant.
